David
Higger - President & Co-founder, LUTCF
David has more than 12 years of agency management experience,
encompassing virtually all retail areas of commercial and
personal insurance, including property and casualty, life,
health and professional liability, plus employee benefits
and many industry-specific programs. David established Higger
& Associates, LLC in March of 2000 with his associate, Richard
C. de Long.
Under David’s management, Higger & Associates,
LLC has grown rapidly, both in capabilities and in size. In
just three years, the agency experienced a five-fold increase
in revenues, establishing itself as a leader in New York’s
insurance brokerage community. The company now provides services
to more than 5000 clients, ranging from individuals and families
to large corporations and associations. David attributes Higger

for integrity and superior customer service, and to its vast
network of referral partners, including accountants, law firms,
non-profit organizations, life insurance agents, and other
industry professionals.
David has been an active fundraiser for several charitable
organizations, including current work for The Ronald McDonald
House and The Fresh Air Fund, and previously for The Association
for the Help of Retarded Children. David also served for five
years on the Board of Directors for the United States Sign
Council, a national trade organization.
David holds a BA degree in accounting from Hofstra University
and an MBA degree in management from Pace University.
